Hannah Hampton Signs Two-Year Deal with Chelsea

Hannah Hampton has never hidden where her heart lies. Now it’s in writing.

The England goalkeeper has committed her long-term future to Chelsea, signing a new two-year deal that keeps her in the capital and at the club she grew up dreaming about.

“I’m really happy. Chelsea have always been my dream club to play for in England so to be able to extend for another two years is a proud moment,” she told the club’s official channels, the relief and satisfaction obvious between the lines.

This is more than a routine contract extension. For Hampton, it’s the latest step in a personal leap that began when she left the Midlands for London – her first time living away from home, her first real break from the familiar.

When she arrived, everything was new. The city. The demands. The expectation that comes with pulling on a Chelsea shirt. What could have been a disorientating move quickly became something else.

“When I moved to London from the Midlands, it was my first time moving away from home and everyone at Chelsea made it feel like a home away from home and somewhere I have been able to grow not only as a player but as a person,” she said.

And she has no intention of slowing down.

“I don’t want that journey to stop and I want to continue to grow more and learn more as a person,” she continued. “I am happy and I know there is so much more I can achieve and so much more as a team we can achieve.”

The message is clear: this is a goalkeeper locking in for the next phase of Chelsea’s evolution, not just basking in what has gone before. The club has dominated English football in recent years, set standards, chased titles on multiple fronts. Hampton wants that level back – and then some.

“I am going to do everything I can to help Chelsea get back to being as successful as we have been in the past.”
