ITV Secures Rights to Broadcast 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia

ITV will televise the 2027 Rugby World Cup held in Australia, marking its 10th consecutive tournament coverage. The broadcaster plans to air all 52 matches live, including the games featuring 24 teams and the knockout stage beginning with the last 16.

A Decade of Rugby Coverage

The network has been a consistent presence for rugby fans, holding rights to every men's Rugby World Cup since 1991. This latest deal adds to ITV's portfolio, which also includes broadcasting the 2026 and 2028 editions of the newly introduced Nations Championship.

ITV shares Six Nations coverage with BBC Sport, ensuring free-to-air access to most fixtures through to 2029. England's men's matches during this period will be exclusively shown on ITV, while games involving Scotland, Wales, and Ireland will remain accessible on free-to-air channels.
