Juventus Pursues Kolo Muani and Sorloth for Forward Line Rebuild
Juventus are tearing up their forward line and starting again. Dusan Vlahovic is walking away on a free when his contract expires on June 30, while Lois Openda and Jonathan David have not convinced in their first year in Turin. Both are now effectively on the market.
In the middle of this reset, one name keeps circling back: Randal Kolo Muani.
Kolo Muani wants Juve – and Juve want him back
Multiple sources in Italy report that Kolo Muani is open to returning to Juventus this summer after his productive half‑season spell in 2024-25. The Frenchman struck 10 goals in 22 appearances in black and white, enough to leave a strong impression at the Allianz Stadium despite the club’s broader struggles.
He did that knowing there would be no Champions League football in 2026-27. That hasn’t changed his stance. He is still described as eager to come back.
Juventus, for their part, have kept the line to Paris open. According to Romeo Agresti of Sky Sport and Tuttosport, talks with PSG are ongoing as the Bianconeri work on a deal that would bring Kolo Muani back to Turin on a more permanent basis.
The numbers on the table
This is where the negotiations bite. Tuttosport report that PSG value Kolo Muani at around €35 million. Juventus do not want to go above €30 million. That gap is small enough to keep everyone at the table, but significant enough to drag talks on.
One possible solution is already being floated: a loan with an obligation to buy. Given that Kolo Muani’s contract with PSG runs until June 2028, the French champions have room to structure the deal. The obligation would be tied to conditions described as almost guaranteed – a mechanism that would allow Juventus to spread the cost while giving PSG clarity on the eventual sale.
What seems clear is that Kolo Muani no longer fits into Luis Enrique’s plans. PSG are not preparing a new deal and are ready to move on from the former Tottenham loanee. Juventus are trying to make sure they are the ones who benefit.
Sorloth agreement in place
Kolo Muani is only half of the plan. Juventus are also deep in talks with Atletico Madrid over Alexander Sorloth and, crucially, already have an agreement with the Norway international. The move now depends on finding the right formula with Atletico, but the green light from the player is in the bag.
The idea is bold: rebuild the attack around a powerful, multi‑faceted duo. Sorloth offers size, aerial presence and a reference point. Kolo Muani brings movement, pace and a knack for attacking space. For a side that looked blunt and predictable last season, that combination promises a very different look.
A new attack, a new identity
Letting Vlahovic leave for nothing is a major gamble, one that only makes sense if Juventus get this reset right. Listening to offers for Openda and David underlines just how radical the change could be.
Kolo Muani already knows the stadium, the expectations, the weight of the shirt. He has shown he can score in this environment. Juventus know exactly what they would be buying.
Now it comes down to hard negotiation. Can they close the gap with PSG and land the Frenchman while finalising Sorloth from Atletico? Or will a €5m stand-off reshape an entire attacking project?
