Newcastle Signs Aladji Bamba from Monaco for £30 Million

Newcastle United have moved decisively in the market, completing the signing of highly rated midfielder Aladji Bamba from AS Monaco on a five-year contract.

The Premier League club will pay an initial £30 million for the 20-year-old, with further add-ons included in the agreement, according to British media reports. It is a fee that underlines both Newcastle’s intent and the belief that Bamba can grow into a central figure on Tyneside.

A graduate of Monaco’s academy, Bamba only broke into the first team last year, but he did so with authority.
