Real Madrid Confirms Endrick’s Future Amid Interest from Aston Villa and Others

Endrick has started this season with Real Madrid after a successful loan period at Lyon last year. Despite his progress, questions about his role remain due to stiff competition in the squad’s attack, which has sparked interest from clubs like Roma and Aston Villa.

Reports from AS reveal that coach Jose Mourinho has left the choice of another loan spell up to Endrick himself. Yet, according to Trivela, Real Madrid have no plans to sell the young Brazilian.

Pre-season Appearances and Role Uncertainty

Endrick began the pre-season as a starter, playing 75 minutes against Fiorentina and scoring in a 2-2 draw. He then appeared for 64 minutes in a win over Ferencvaros. In both games, he featured as the centre-forward in Mourinho’s 4-2-3-1 system. However, it’s unclear whether he will play as the main striker or on the right wing, where he spent much of his loan at Lyon. Either position faces tough competition.

Competition for Playing Time

Leading the attack is unlikely to be taken from Kylian Mbappe. On the right flank, newly signed Yan Diomande, bought for over €85 million, looks set to start. That spot also includes talents like Brahim Diaz, Arda Guler, Denzel Dumfries, and Bernardo Silva, all contenders for minutes.

Interest from Other Clubs

Several teams have expressed interest in Endrick. Roma reportedly made inquiries about a loan deal, while Aston Villa submitted a proposal for a loan as they aim to strengthen their attack ahead of their Champions League return. Real Sociedad also remain interested, having pursued him before his move to Lyon. Even some Premier League clubs are watching his situation closely.

Real Madrid's Intentions

According to Trivela, Real Madrid do not want to let Endrick leave. No transfer moves have been initiated this window. Since December last year, the plan has been clear: loan him out temporarily to gain experience, then bring him back without options for permanent transfer or renewal of loan.

Still, football can change rapidly — injuries or irresistible offers might alter plans. Right now, no transfer activity involves either Endrick or Real Madrid.

Before his stint in France, Endrick wanted to stay at Real Madrid but left due to limited playing time under Xabi Alonso. After a positive season with Carlo Ancelotti, even facing injury setbacks, he inherited the number nine shirt but only logged 11 minutes in La Liga before being loaned out.
