2026-27 Bundesliga Season Start and Fixture Release Details

The 2026-27 German Bundesliga season kicks off on August 9, starting a bit earlier than usual. The campaign will run until May 22, 2027, concluding a week later than past seasons.

Fixture Release Date

Fixtures for both the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga were made public on July 2, 2026. Although matchweeks are set, exact days and times remain undecided because of factors like television schedules, European competitions, and the DFB-Pokal.

International Breaks During the Season

This season, international breaks have been adjusted. Instead of three separate one-week breaks in the fall, there will be one two-week break and another single week off. • September 26, 2026: No league games
  • October 3, 2026: No league games
  • November 14, 2026: No league games
  • March 27, 2027: No league games
