The super-agent met with the club’s sporting director before sitting down with Balde and Marc Casado, outlining the scenarios for both players. Casado’s departure has been expected for some time. Balde’s, until recently, was not.

That has changed quickly.

The clearest sign came when Barcelona left the Spanish full-back out of the squad to face Elche. No injury. No suspension. Just a glaring omission at a moment when his future hangs in the balance. Inside the club, that decision has been read as a message: the door is open.

On the player’s side, three concrete offers are in play. Manchester United are currently in pole position, with the information out of Spain indicating the Premier League club are closest to securing his signature. Two other teams remain in the race and are pushing to take advantage of Barcelona’s willingness to negotiate.
