Allianz Arena to Host 2028 Champions League Final for Third Time

After hosting the men's Champions League finals in 2012 and 2025, FC Bayern's Allianz Arena will welcome Europe's top club football final again in May 2028. The UEFA executive committee has given the green light to Munich City Council's bid, scheduling the final for 27 May 2028.

This will mark the third time the Allianz Arena hosts this prestigious match, only three years after the successful 2025 final. The event will span four days, from 25 to 28 May 2028, featuring two fan meeting points downtown and a centrally placed Champions Festival to engage supporters.

Munich’s History with the Champions League Final

The 2028 final will be the sixth time Munich hosts Europe's premier club competition decider. Prior to the Allianz Arena events, the Olympiastadion was the venue for finals in 1979, 1993, and 1997, alongside the more recent 2012 and 2025 matches at the Allianz Arena.
