Amankwah Forson Joins Hapoel Be'er Sheva on Loan

Amankwah Forson has left Norwich City for a season-long loan spell with Israeli side Hapoel Be'er Sheva, handing the Ghana international a new European stage.

The 23-year-old only arrived at Carrow Road in 2024, signing a four-year deal after joining from Austrian club RB Salzburg. Since then he has become a regular part of the Canaries’ squad, making 44 appearances in all competitions and scoring four goals.

Now he steps into a very different challenge.

Hapoel Be'er Sheva, six-time champions of Israel, have already booked their place in the league phase of this season’s Europa League. Forson will walk straight into a dressing room preparing for meetings with Juventus, AFC Bournemouth and Besiktas – a demanding group and a serious platform.

For Norwich, it is a chance for one of their midfield assets to gain experience under the glare of European competition. For Forson, it is an opportunity to show he can influence games against some of the continent’s most recognisable names.
