Salah-Eddine Set to Join Olympiakos After Declining PSV Move

According to Italian transfer expert Nicolò Schira, Anass Salah-Eddine is about to sign with Olympiakos. The Greek club plans to pay eight million euros to secure the left-back’s services.

Earlier reports on Wednesday indicated that AS Roma were ready to let Salah-Eddine leave and that Olympiakos showed interest in the Moroccan international. Now, an agreement has been quickly reached between Olympiakos, Roma, and the player. Salah-Eddine is expected to commit until mid-2030.

Turning Down PSV Despite Strong Loan Spell

This move gains extra attention because Salah-Eddine recently rejected a chance to join PSV, who were prepared to activate Roma’s purchase option. He impressed during his loan stint at PSV last season's second half, becoming a regular and contributing significantly to their league title with consistent performances.

Born in Amsterdam, Salah-Eddine chose not to stay in Eindhoven or compete for playing time back at Roma. Instead, he is set for a fresh start with Olympiakos.

Champions League Opportunity Awaits

At Olympiakos, Salah-Eddine will still have the chance to feature in the Champions League. Since Olympiakos competes in Europe's 11th-ranked league, they will begin by facing NEC in the qualifying rounds. Should they succeed, they must then win another two-legged tie to reach the group stage.
