RB Leipzig's Antonio Nusa Draws Attention from Roma and Other Clubs

Roma is seriously considering a transfer for Antonio Nusa, the 21-year-old winger currently playing for RB Leipzig. Reports from Gazzetta dello Sport reveal that the Serie A side has made contact with Leipzig’s management to discuss a potential deal.

The Norwegian attacker came onto Roma’s radar following departures in their squad, such as Mason Greenwood moving to Fenerbahce and Crysencio Summerville heading to Al-Hilal. This shift has pushed Roma to look for fresh options on the wings.

Leipzig's Price Tag and Other Targets

RB Leipzig has set a steep asking price for Nusa, demanding between €50 million and €60 million. His contract with the German club runs until 2029, giving Leipzig strong negotiating power. These high demands have prompted Roma to consider alternative players, including Benfica's Andreas Schjelderup and 1. FC Cologne’s 19-year-old Said El Mala, who is also attracting attention from Borussia Dortmund.

Who Else Wants Nusa?

Interest in Nusa extends beyond Italy. Back in June, several clubs were linked to the winger, including Newcastle United and Arsenal. According to the Newcastle Chronicle, his admirers list includes Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur, and Crystal Palace as well.

There was also speculation about Bayern Munich pursuing the Norway international, but this seems unlikely now after Bayern signed Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven to strengthen their left wing.

A Quick Rise at RB Leipzig

Nusa joined Leipzig only in the summer of 2024, transferring from Club Brugge for around €21 million. Since then, he has become a regular starter thanks to his versatility, capable of playing on both wings.

Last season, Nusa appeared in 35 competitive games, scoring five goals and assisting four times, showing promise as an impactful attacking player.
