Brighton Targets Femi Azeez with £15m Bid from Millwall

Millwall have put a £15m price tag on winger Femi Azeez as Brighton push to get a deal over the line before Tuesday’s deadline.

The Premier League club have already tested Millwall’s resolve twice in recent weeks, with bids totalling just over £10m. Both have been knocked back. For now, Brighton are still about £5m short of what the south London side want.

Azeez, a Nigeria international, is understood to be keen on the move to the Amex Stadium. The chance to jump from the Championship to the Premier League is driving him, and Brighton see him as one of their priority signings in the final days of the window.

Millwall’s stance is clear. They are willing to let the 23-year-old take the next step in his career, but only if their valuation is met. Until then, they hold the cards.

The winger has been conspicuously absent from Millwall’s last three matchday squads. That omission comes off the back of a standout campaign: 11 goals and 11 assists in 35 league games last season, form that earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year and put him firmly on Premier League radars.

Millwall picked him up from Reading in 2024 for around £1m, a deal that now looks like one of the Championship’s smartest bits of business. With Azeez entering the final 24 months of his contract, this window represents a major decision point for the club — cash in big, or risk his value dipping as his deal winds down.

Wrexham, ambitious and upwardly mobile in the Championship, are also believed to have shown interest. But for Azeez, the target is clear: the Premier League comes first.

Brighton now face a choice of their own. Do they edge closer to Millwall’s £15m demand to land one of their top attacking targets, or walk away and watch a rising Championship star head elsewhere?
