Chelsea Eyes Move to Block Joshua Zirkzee's Transfer to Juventus

Joshua Zirkzee, the Dutch forward currently at Manchester United, has reportedly given his agreement to join Juventus. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the striker is open to moving to Turin. Despite this, Chelsea have shown interest and are trying to disrupt what seemed like a straightforward transfer.

Juventus have been monitoring Zirkzee for some time, and this summer it looks increasingly possible the deal will happen. The plan involves a loan with an option to buy. Zirkzee is keen to join Italy's most successful club, but Chelsea's interest complicates things.

Juventus’ Striker Situation and Squad Changes

Earlier this summer, Juventus parted ways with Lois Openda, who moved on to continue his career at Olympique Lyon in France. His spot was filled by Randal Kolo-Muani, who joined permanently from Paris Saint-Germain.

The club also hopes to move Jonathan David on before they can complete a permanent signing of Zirkzee. However, the Canadian striker has shown no interest in leaving Turin, which may delay matters.

Uncertain Future for Zirkzee Amid Transfer Complications

Zirkzee is willing to wait for the move to Juventus, but not indefinitely. Even though all parties—Zirkzee, Juventus, and Manchester United—are interested, the transfer remains uncertain because of these unresolved issues.

Recently, Zirkzee impressed during Manchester United’s friendly against BK Rosenborg, where the 25-year-old skillfully dribbled past defenders and the goalkeeper before scoring calmly.
