Crystal Palace Signs Anan Khalaili Until 2031

Crystal Palace have landed Israel international Anan Khalaili on a long-term deal running through to 2031, in one of the club’s boldest moves of the summer.

The Eagles are understood to have paid around £21m for the 21-year-old, a versatile operator who can line up either at full-back or further forward on the wing. It is a sizeable outlay, but one backed by a growing body of evidence that Khalaili is ready for a bigger stage.

He arrives from Union Saint-Gilloise, where his impact was immediate and historic. Since joining the Belgian side in 2024, he helped drive them to their first Belgian Pro League title in 90 years, adding a Belgian Cup to complete a landmark double. That kind of success travels well.

Khalaili also brings something Palace have been steadily collecting under Pierre Sage: European know-how. Three of his six goals last season came in the Champions League, a return that underlines his comfort under the brightest lights. Palace, preparing for a Europa League campaign, have not ignored that detail.

"I have followed the Premier League for a long time, it's a new challenge for me," Khalaili said, outlining the attraction of England’s top flight. "And Crystal Palace I like, because I have followed them for a long time. They have deserved to win three trophies and I want to do more."

The ambition is clear. Palace are building a squad that expects to compete, not just participate, on multiple fronts. Khalaili becomes the fifth signing of the Sage era, another piece in a project that is starting to look increasingly serious in both domestic and European terms.
