Ferran Torres Set to Leave Barcelona for PSG

Ferran Torres, the man who lit up Spain’s World Cup summer with an extra-time winner against Argentina, is on the brink of a major club switch after being granted permission to skip Barcelona training to finalise a move to Paris St-Germain.

The 26-year-old forward was due back with the Catalan side on Wednesday, but instead of reporting to the training ground he is now edging closer to a transfer that is expected to be worth more than £40m.

The move for Torres comes as the Parisians face the possibility of losing Bradley Barcola, with Liverpool pushing to bring the forward to the Premier League.
