Franco Mastantuono's Hat-Trick Leads Fiorentina to Victory in Venice

Franco Mastantuono ripped up the script in Venice.

Fiorentina’s teenage loanee produced a devastating hat-trick to haul the Viola to a 4-2 win over Venezia in the fourth round of Serie A, turning a tricky away night into his personal coming‑of‑age performance.

According to ESPN, the Real Madrid star, currently on a one-season loan at Fiorentina, has now overtaken compatriot Lionel Messi as the youngest Argentine to score a hat-trick in one of Europe’s five major leagues. At 19 years and 28 days, Mastantuono is 231 days younger than Messi was when he hit his first career hat-trick for Barcelona against Real Madrid on 10 March 2007.

These were Mastantuono’s first goals for Fiorentina since his arrival from Madrid. Remarkably, the three-goal blast already matches his entire tally from 35 appearances for Real Madrid last season.
