Holywell Town Earns First Point in Dramatic Comeback

Holywell Town finally have something on the board. It took a comeback, a late surge and a cool finish from Harvey Morris, but the newly promoted side clawed out their first point of the season at home to fellow newcomers Trefelin.

For an hour, it looked like another bleak afternoon. Trefelin, still chasing their first top-flight win, struck on 60 minutes with a moment of real quality. Louis Phillips spotted his chance on the edge of the area and lifted a superb lob over the keeper, a finish that silenced the ground and underlined Holywell’s fragile start to life at this level.

Holywell refused to fold. The pressure built, the tackles bit a little harder, and with eight minutes left Morris arrived with the equaliser to drag them level. Relief, not celebration, swept around the home support. The point lifts the mood but not the position: Holywell remain bottom of the table, still searching for that first victory.

Clarke punishes former club as Caernarfon climb

Higher up the standings, Caernarfon Town are moving with purpose. A 3-0 win over struggling Flint Town United pushed them up to fourth and extended a miserable run for the visitors, who remain winless and sit 15th.

The damage came from a familiar face. Former Flint striker Zack Clarke continued his ruthless start to the season, taking his tally to nine. He struck first in first-half stoppage time, a goal that changed the tone of the contest just before the break, then added a second seven minutes into the restart to tighten Caernarfon’s grip.

Flint never recovered. Osian Evans, in sharp scoring form himself, added Caernarfon’s third to seal a comfortable night and deepen Flint’s early-season worries.

Wingmakers flying as Airbus win at Old Road

At Old Road, Airbus showed their cutting edge. George Peers, in the sort of rhythm every forward craves, made it three goals in three games with a close-range finish on 20 minutes, turning in Jordan Evans’ cross to give the visitors the lead.

The Wingmakers struck again just after half-time. Breaking at pace on the counter, they sliced through and Oliver Calland finished the move to claim his first goal for the club. That second strike gave Airbus clear daylight and underlined their threat in transition.

Cambrian fight back in Cyncoed thriller

In the capital, Cambrian United staged a spirited fightback to earn a point at Cardiff Met after trailing by two goals.

The hosts struck at a perfect time, right on the cusp of the interval. Spencer Dymond-Hall rose to meet a cross in first-half stoppage time, his header steering Cardiff Met in front at Cyncoed. When Sam Jones doubled the advantage early in the second half, the game looked to be slipping away from Cambrian.

They refused to accept it. Seven minutes later, Alex John pulled one back to spark belief, and the momentum shifted. Liam Williams’ side pushed on and were rewarded when Harrison Bright drilled in from the edge of the area to level the contest.

Cardiff Met still had the chance to snatch it at the death. CJ Craven stepped up from the spot, but the penalty went begging. Cambrian’s comeback stood, a hard-earned point at the end of a breathless night.
