Inter Champions League Squad Includes All Summer Signings

Inter have nailed down their squad for the 2026-27 Champions League league phase – and every one of their summer signings is on the list.

John Stones, Curtis Jones, Aleksandar Stankovic and Djed Spence have all been registered across List A and List B in the official submission to UEFA, confirming Simone Inzaghi will have his new recruits available on the European stage.

The club filed their list before the deadline of Wednesday, September 2, the day after the summer transfer window closed across most of Europe, in line with UEFA regulations.

Inter go with 23 on List A

UEFA rules allow a maximum of 25 players on List A, but they come with strings attached: at least two goalkeepers and eight locally trained players. Inter fall one short of that homegrown quota, so their cap drops from 25 to 23.

They have used all 23.

The seven locally trained players named are Ivan Provedel, Raffaele Di Gennaro, Alessandro Bastoni, Federico Dimarco, Mattia Marello, Nicolo Barella and Piotr Zielinski. That group underpins the registration and shapes the overall size of the squad.

Alongside them, Josep Martinez joins Provedel and Di Gennaro in goal. Stones headlines a defensive unit that also includes Manuel Akanji, Benjamin Pavard, Carlos Augusto, Yann-Aurel Bisseck and Spence, giving Inter a deep, physically imposing back line with plenty of ball-playing ability.

Midfield looks stacked. Zielinski, Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, Andy Diouf, Hakan Calhanoglu, Curtis Jones, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Barella form a technically rich core, mixing creativity, control and experience.

Up front, Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny carry the goalscoring responsibility, a lean but dangerous trio for the league phase.

Youth talent tucked into List B

The rules change for List B. Players born on or after January 1, 2005 who have spent an uninterrupted period at the club can be registered there without eating into the main quota.

Inter have taken advantage of that.

Stankovic and Pio Esposito both meet those criteria and have been placed on List B rather than occupying List A slots. It keeps the senior list tight while still giving Inzaghi the option to call on fresh legs from the academy when needed.

Inter have not disclosed the rest of their youth-eligible contingent, but the inclusion of Stankovic and Esposito signals a clear intention: the Champions League campaign will not just showcase the big-name signings. It will test how well the club’s new spine meshes with the next generation waiting in the wings.
