Frattesi–Lazio Talks Light the Fuse

As reported by Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), Inter and Lazio have opened talks over a deal for Frattesi based on a loan with a conditional obligation to buy. It’s not just a casual enquiry. The structure is on the table, and the player’s motivation is clear.

Frattesi wants minutes. Real ones. He made 33 appearances last season, but only a small portion of those came from the start. For a midfielder entering his prime, cameos are no longer enough.

His agent, Giuseppe Riso, has been busy. According to Alfredo Pedullà, Riso has directly offered Frattesi to Lazio. It’s not his only link with the capital club either: he also represents Mario Gila, Andrea Pinamonti, and Lorenzo Lucca. There had even been talk of Lazio exploring a partial swap with Napoli for a defender before Milan stepped in and took that opportunity off the table.

Lazio then turned to other options and missed out on Benfica’s Franjo Ivanovic, who is heading to Lens. That setback has pushed Frattesi higher up their list.

For Lazio, he’d walk straight into the XI. For Frattesi, it would be one of the few destinations where he’d be a guaranteed day-one starter. The twist? His Roma past would make a move to their city rivals sting a little more in the capital.

Inter Ready to Pounce on Curtis Jones

If Frattesi goes, Inter’s plan is simple: push hard for Curtis Jones.

The Serie A champions are prepared to invest up to €35 million to bring the Liverpool midfielder to Milan. That figure is not a casual estimate; it’s the ceiling Inter have set as they wait for Liverpool to budge.

Liverpool, though, have held firm so far. Despite Jones’ short-term contract situation, they continue to demand a high fee. They know his profile, his age, and his homegrown status carry weight in the Premier League market.

Jones, for his part, is open to the move. He has been handled carefully during pre-season, preserved rather than showcased, which only fuels the sense that a transfer remains very much alive behind the scenes.

The sequence is clear: Frattesi out, Jones in. Inter will not go “all-out” for Jones until they unlock space and funds through Frattesi’s departure. Lazio’s ability to close that deal could decide how quickly this accelerates.
