Juventus Fined €10,000 for Disrupting Mazzola Tribute

Lega Serie A has handed Juventus a €10,000 fine after a section of supporters disrupted the minute’s silence in memory of Inter and Italy great Sandro Mazzola at the weekend.

Mazzola, one of the defining figures of Italian football and a legend of the “Grande Inter” era, died on Saturday at the age of 83. The league ordered a minute’s silence to be observed before every Serie A fixture following the news on Saturday morning, a unified gesture to honour a player who helped shape an era.

At the Allianz Stadium in Turin, that tribute broke down.
