Juventus Set to Loan Zion Suzuki from PSG Ahead of Signing Alisson Becker in 2026

Juventus are preparing to bring in Zion Suzuki on a one-year loan from Paris Saint-Germain as a stop-gap solution. This move allows them to wait until 2026 when they can sign Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker on a free transfer after his contract expires.

PSG Finalizes Suzuki Transfer from Parma

Reports from Italy and France say PSG are closing in on a deal to buy Suzuki from Parma. The fee is around €30 million, with an extra €5 million possible through performance bonuses. Despite this investment, Suzuki won’t feature for PSG next season. Instead, he will be loaned immediately to Juventus, who see him as a short-term option while pursuing their main goal of signing Alisson later.

Spalletti Focuses on Familiar Target

Throughout the summer, Juventus have looked for a new keeper, even holding talks with Aston Villa about Emiliano Martinez. Still, coach Luciano Spalletti has always wanted Alisson, having worked with him at Roma where Alisson kept 26 clean sheets in 64 appearances.

Earlier this year, Alisson showed interest in joining Juventus, willing to give up Champions League football to return to Italy. Although the player is convinced by Juventus’s rebuilding plans, Liverpool refused to sell during this transfer window.

Liverpool Blocks Immediate Move

Liverpool are determined to keep Alisson, whose contract runs until June 2027. The Brazilian has played 333 games and kept 140 clean sheets for the club, winning two league titles and the Champions League.

"I believe he will be an extremely important element in helping the new players adapt, whether experienced or young," said manager Andoni Iraola. "We need role models within the dressing room, such as Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, and Joe Gomez, players who have spent many years at the club. I am confident we will get this kind of support."

Looking Ahead to 2026 and Beyond

Once Suzuki’s loan is official, Juventus will integrate him into the squad for the domestic season. Meanwhile, Alisson remains a key figure for Liverpool, gearing up for their first match against Newcastle United.

Juventus plan to monitor the situation closely and aim to secure a pre-contract agreement with Alisson ahead of his contract ending in 2027.
