Everton have gone in first. A concrete proposal is already on the table for the versatile forward, who can operate across the entire frontline. Liverpool, by contrast, are hovering. Sky Deutschland report that the Reds “remain interested” and are attempting to bring Leweling in late, even if a deal is described as unlikely.

Leweling has reason to take his time. Stuttgart want to keep him, and staying put is still a live option. He was one of VfB’s standout performers last season, racking up 23 goal contributions across 50 competitive games and establishing himself as one of the most sought‑after players in the Swabian club’s squad.

Stuttgart expect more offers to land before Tuesday’s deadline. Whether that flurry of interest actually forces a move remains open, but the level of noise around Leweling is impossible to ignore now.

Gakpo stays, City sent away
