Manchester United Signs Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah

Manchester United are set to make Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah their latest addition, having agreed terms to sign the 23-year-old from BK Hacken.

The move is expected to be completed before next Thursday’s Women’s Super League transfer deadline, with only final formalities remaining. United will pay a fee to the Swedish club, though the amount has not been disclosed.

Jusu Bah has spent her entire career in Sweden, breaking through at Umea before earning her move to BK Hacken in 2023. Her rise has been steady rather than sudden, but this year pushed her firmly into the spotlight.

In May, she played a key role as BK Hacken lifted the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, a landmark moment for the club and a statement of her ability on the European stage.

Despite signing a contract extension with BK Hacken in September 2025 that runs until 2028, United have moved decisively to bring her to Manchester, seeing enough in her club and international performances to justify the investment.

Jusu Bah has already been capped 11 times by Sweden and featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, underlining her growing importance at international level.

United are not finished yet. The club are understood to be targeting at least one more signing before the window closes, as they reshape the squad for the challenges ahead.

The deal for Jusu Bah follows the arrivals of defender Andrea Medina from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City, signalling a clear intent to strengthen across the pitch as the season tightens.
