Marc Casadó is turning into one of the most talked‑about midfielders on the market – and he hasn’t even kicked a ball in the Premier League yet.

The Barcelona youngster, surplus to requirements under new boss Hansi Flick, is drawing serious attention from England, with five clubs circling as they look to pounce before the new season.

Casadó, 22, has spent the summer on the fringes at the Spotify Camp Nou, repeatedly linked with a move away as Barça look to reshape their midfield options and raise funds. He’s not in Flick’s plans, and that reality has opened the door to a transfer battle.

Brighton, always alert to a technical talent with resale potential. Even Sunderland, looking to make a statement as they chase their way back towards the elite.

Barcelona, for their part, are not hiding their intentions. They want a significant fee and are understood to be aiming for around €40 million for Casadó’s sale – a substantial figure for a player yet to establish himself at the very top level, but one that reflects both his age and his schooling in La Masia.
