North Dakota Hosts Florida Atlantic in Historic First Matchup

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Bronson Field gets the spotlight on Sunday, and North Dakota finally gets home.

After a bruising two-game swing through California that yielded a 0-1-1 record, the Fighting Hawks women’s soccer team returns to Grand Forks for a noon kickoff against Florida Atlantic, a program they have never faced before. The series stands at 0-0-0, and this first chapter arrives with a little extra weight.

It’s not just another non-conference date. It’s their only match of the week, and it’s also the second-to-last game on the 2026 non-conference schedule. In other words, chances to fine-tune before league play are running out.

The Owls fly in as complete unknowns on the field to UND, but the setting will be familiar for the hosts. A Sunday matinee, home fans back in their seats, and a team looking to reset its rhythm after the road trip. Noon Central Time, Bronson Field, and a clean slate between the two programs.

All UND home games, including this one, will be streamed on the Summit League Network through Midco Sports Plus, the subscription platform that carries live and on-demand content from across the conference. SLN plans to stream more than 600 live events each year, with every UND home and road conference soccer contest included.

For those who live on their phones on matchday, live updates roll out on @UNDsoccer on X, with extended coverage and content on X, Facebook and Instagram under the same handle. FightingHawks.com remains the hub for stories, stats and deeper dives as North Dakota steps into a new matchup and a key moment in its non-conference run.
