Strasbourg Signs Chelsea's Omari Kellyman in Permanent Deal
Strasbourg have completed the permanent signing of Chelsea attacker Omari Kellyman, in yet another transfer link between the two clubs under the BlueCo umbrella.
The 20-year-old moves to France in a deal that includes a buyback clause for Chelsea and is expected to be the first of three moves between the sides this week. It is the 20th transfer involving the two clubs since they came under the same American ownership group.
Chelsea striker Deivid Washington is also poised to join Strasbourg in a similar structure, with the French club again taking on a young talent while Chelsea retain a degree of long-term control. On top of that, either midfielder Dario Essugo or winger Mykhailo Mudryk is likely to head to Alsace on loan as the player-sharing pipeline stays busy.
Kellyman arrived at Stamford Bridge from Aston Villa in 2024 for £19m, a signing framed as one for the future. That future never really started in west London. A run of hamstring problems repeatedly halted his progress and he failed to make a first-team appearance for Chelsea.
Now he gets a reset in Ligue 1, while Chelsea keep a door open to bring him back if his potential finally catches fire.
