Thomas Tuchel Confident Harry Kane Will Join 100-Goal Club for England Soon

Tuchel Predicts Kane Will Reach 100 International Goals Within 13 Matches

Thomas Tuchel believes Harry Kane is close to joining the elite group of players who have scored over 100 international goals. The England captain currently has 87 goals and could hit the century mark in as few as 13 more appearances, according to the England manager.

Kane's Rising Legacy

Kane recently scored in England’s 2-0 UEFA Nations League win over the Czech Republic, moving him up to eighth on the all-time international scoring list. Only Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Ali Daei have scored more than 100 goals in men’s international football. Tuchel is confident Kane can quickly close the 13-goal gap to reach this milestone.

"He is closing in. He scored again. 13 goals left," said Tuchel. When asked if he truly expects Kane to reach 100 goals, Tuchel replied, "Thirteen matches. You will not get another Harry Kane, first of all. He is the highest level of goalscorer."

Warning Over England's Future Without Kane

Tuchel acknowledged Kane's importance but also warned that replacing him will be difficult. Kane remains in excellent form, having scored in consecutive matches against Spain and the Czech Republic, following a strong World Cup performance where he netted six goals to help England finish third.

"There will be someone else but it will not be Harry or a copy of Harry. We will find a solution when it comes to it but maybe not me. It might be another 10 years," Tuchel said about life after Kane.

Kane Focuses on Present Achievements

Kane, who broke Wayne Rooney’s England goal record three years ago, is preparing to earn his 124th cap in the upcoming match against Croatia. Last season, he scored 73 times for Bayern Munich and is considered a strong contender for the next Ballon d'Or.

"I don't like to think too far ahead, but of course, it's getting closer. 100 goals for the national team would be something special without a doubt," Kane said. "It still feels like yesterday I just broke the record and I was away in Italy getting that one. The seasons come and they go quickly, so I just enjoy being out there with the boys on the pitch, wearing the Three Lions shirt and that won't change."

Building Forward After Recent Victory

Kane spoke about his role as a striker and the joy of scoring. "The striker's job is to score goals first and foremost, and I know that, and I love doing that. It's still the best feeling there is," he explained.

He also emphasized the team effort behind their success, pointing out areas where England can improve despite the recent win. "The final product has to be perfect and I don't think it was quite there. I still think we can improve in that sense, with the final cross or the final through ball. But in the end, a win's a win. I've been around long enough in the team where sometimes you just have to win the game and move on and tonight was one of those," Kane concluded.
