West Ham United, currently in the Championship, is reportedly interested in signing former Tottenham Hotspur forward Troy Parrott. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo is looking to strengthen the squad to help secure promotion back to the Premier League.

After their attempt to sign Sunderland's Wilson Isidor fell through, West Ham has turned focus to Parrott. The Irish striker has impressed at AZ Alkmaar, scoring 51 goals in 96 appearances over two seasons.

Competition for Parrott includes Italian club Como, Spanish team Real Betis, and Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven and Ajax. Como, Betis, and PSV all offer Champions League football, but West Ham hopes an £18 million bid will secure the player's transfer.

Florentino Luis Close to Joining Ipswich Town Permanently

Ipswich Town is set to finalize a deal for midfielder Florentino Luis, who was on loan at Burnley last season before moving there permanently this summer. Burnley’s relegation to the Championship opened doors for Ipswich and newly promoted Hull City.

Hull were close to a loan agreement, but Ipswich have won out by agreeing a permanent transfer reportedly worth around £16 million. Florentino has already completed his medical examination and should soon be announced as part of Gary O'Neil's squad.

The 26-year-old will join a midfield featuring Azor Matusiwa, Marcelino Nunez, Jack Taylor, and Cameron Humphreys.
