Clubs Confirmed for UEFA Champions League 2026-27 League Phase
The UEFA Champions League, Europe's premier club football tournament, returns with a fresh season full of intense clashes and spectacular goals. Paris Saint-Germain, aiming for an unprecedented third consecutive title, lead a field packed with heavyweights and newcomers.
Among those challenging PSG are European giants like Barcelona, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Liverpool. Meanwhile, clubs such as Italian newcomer Como have earned their first-ever spot in this prestigious competition.
Qualified Teams for the 2026/27 League Phase
A total of 36 teams will compete in the league phase. Out of these, 29 clubs secured direct entry while seven spots will be decided through playoff rounds.
The top four clubs from each of the highest-ranked four leagues in UEFA gain automatic qualification. The fifth-ranked league contributes three teams directly, the sixth-ranked league two teams, and leagues ranked seventh to tenth each supply one team. Two additional places, called European Performance Spots (EPS), went to England and Spain based on prior season performances.
