Xabi Alonso Updates on Enzo Fernandez and Pedro Neto Transfers as Manchester City Pursues British Record Deal

Xabi Alonso, Chelsea's manager, has confirmed that both Enzo Fernandez and Pedro Neto could leave Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes on Tuesday. Despite the uncertainty, Alonso believes the squad will be capable for the demanding season ahead.

"I am sure that from Wednesday onward we will have a squad strong enough to compete in every Premier League match," he added.

While Fernandez’s departure seems likely, Pedro Neto also faces speculation about his future. The Portuguese winger, who played as a wing-back against Brighton, caught attention from several top Premier League clubs.

"In football, I don’t guarantee anything about anyone," Alonso admitted. "But I’m very pleased with Pedro’s performance. He brought lots of energy and will be important throughout the season because of his unique qualities."
