Zeidane Inoussa Joins Portsmouth on Loan from Swansea City

Swansea City winger Zeidane Inoussa is set to join Championship rivals Portsmouth on loan for the rest of the season, as the Welsh club reshapes its attacking options.

The 24-year-old arrived at Swansea only last summer from Swedish side BK Hacken for a significant fee, billed as a long-term project and tied down on a contract until 2030. His first year in South Wales never really caught fire. Injuries disrupted his rhythm, and he finished the campaign with just one goal in 29 appearances.

Now comes a reset.

With Swansea loading up on new wide players, Inoussa has slipped down the pecking order. Moussa Yeo and Joseph Opoku have already come through the door, while Manchester City youngster Jeremy Monga is expected to follow. That influx has opened the way for Inoussa to move on in search of regular minutes, with Portsmouth ready to offer them.

For Pompey, it is a chance to tap into the potential of a former Sweden Under-21 international who still carries the pedigree that persuaded Swansea to invest heavily a year ago. For Swansea, it is a pragmatic call in a summer built around refreshing the flanks.

The clear-out is unlikely to stop with Inoussa. The club are also looking to move on Florian Bianchini after his underwhelming loan spell at Portsmouth last season, while uncertainty lingers over the future of fellow wide man Ronald.
