Zinédine Zidane Set to Become France’s New National Team Manager

The Fédération Française de Football has confirmed that the next manager of France's national team will be announced on Tuesday, July 28. All indications suggest Zinédine Zidane is the man chosen for the role.

A press conference will take place at 11 a.m. at the FFF headquarters in Paris, where Zidane will be introduced alongside FFF president Philippe Diallo.

Zidane’s Return to International Football

Since stepping down from Real Madrid in 2021, Zidane has been away from coaching. This appointment marks his anticipated return to the international stage, as he steps into one of the most prestigious positions in French football.

He is expected to sign a contract lasting four years, which would keep him in charge until at least the 2030 World Cup. Zidane’s first match leading Les Bleus will be an away fixture against Turkey, scheduled for late September during the 2026-2027 Nations League.
