Some games such as Everton vs Wolves and Liverpool vs Tottenham were rescheduled due to clashes with UEFA Champions League fixtures. The EFL stated that despite talks with UEFA, the Champions League schedule could not be moved, forcing adjustments to Carabao Cup ties.
