Deportivo A Coruna have secured the services of Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado for a full season on loan, including an option to buy at the end of the deal. The 22-year-old joins the Galician side seeking more regular first-team action after spending several seasons with the Catalan giants.

The club officially announced Casado's arrival from Barcelona. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed the agreement contains an option for Deportivo to make the transfer permanent for €30 million (£26 million/$35 million) once the loan expires. Casado looks for increased playing time following his development through Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy and his previous experience in senior football.

In their statement, Deportivo praised Casado’s achievements despite his young age, noting his impressive trophy cabinet that includes two La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, and two Supercopa de España trophies. Casado Looks to Secure Regular Playing Time

At Barcelona, Casado found himself behind key midfielders like Rodri, Frenkie de Jong, and Marc Bernal, limiting his minutes. Over his time at Camp Nou, he made 75 senior appearances and earned two caps for Spain’s national team. His ability to perform as a holding midfielder or right-back, combined with experience across 49 La Liga matches and 19 Champions League games, should provide important quality for Deportivo this season.

Upcoming Debut Against Villarreal

The 22-year-old may soon make his debut as Deportivo travel to face Villarreal in their fourth league match on Saturday.
