In July 2023, Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his then-pregnant partner, Alessia Elefante, faced a terrifying home invasion. The couple, now married with a child, were attacked inside their luxury apartment on Avenue Montaigne, Paris.

Details Unveiled in Court Proceedings

Recent hearings in a Paris court revealed the violent nature of the break-in. The intruders entered while the couple was asleep, physically assaulting them and threatening them with a knife.

• Donnarumma was woken by a man whispering before being struck in the face with a knuckle duster.
• The attacker demanded watches, specifically saying, "The watches, the watches." Donnarumma showed an Audemars Piguet watch from his dressing table.
• Elefante was also attacked; she handed over a Cartier watch, jewelry, and about €2,000 in cash after the robbers demanded money and watches.

Violence Against a Pregnant Woman

Despite Elefante telling the assailants she was pregnant, they pulled her hair and hit her thighs when she refused to give the safe code, insisting it was empty. Eventually, Donnarumma provided the code, confirming the safe was empty.

• Kherbouch has at least 11 previous convictions and briefly escaped custody in March.

Neither Donnarumma nor Elefante is expected to testify during the hearing. Their lawyers have said the couple remains deeply shaken by what happened.
