Though contracts were signed earlier this year, the date and location took time to finalize. Initially, London's Wembley and New York's Madison Square Garden were top choices, but logistical issues made Cardiff the eventual venue.

While exact timing for Fury-Joshua remains unconfirmed, Hearn downplayed suggestions of a 03:00 GMT start. A ringwalk at 01:00 or 02:00 GMT would coincide with 20:00 or 21:00 on the US east coast.
