Galatasaray Offers Competitive Wages to Attract Bruno Fernandes
Galatasaray are pushing hard for a statement signing. The Turkish champions have set their sights on Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and are prepared to put him on the very top rung of their wage structure to make it happen.
According to club insider Emre Kaplan, Galatasaray are willing to offer Fernandes a salary on par with Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, currently the highest earner at the club. That figure is being treated as the benchmark for any proposal to the Portugal international.
The timing is no coincidence. Fernandes has yet to agree fresh terms with Manchester United, and that uncertainty has encouraged Galatasaray to move aggressively. They see the 29-year-old as a central piece in their next phase, a marquee leader to elevate both their domestic dominance and European ambitions.
Club's Commitment
Kaplan outlined just how far the Istanbul giants are ready to go.
“Galatasaray are prepared to offer Bruno Fernandes the same salary as Osimhen, who is presently the top earner in the squad,” he said, speaking to Habersarikirmizi. “They will also present whatever amount is necessary for the transfer fee. However, I believe that the reports circulating in the English media are being utilised in negotiations with United.”
The message is clear: money will not be the stumbling block on Galatasaray’s side. They are ready to satisfy both the player’s personal demands and Manchester United’s valuation, if a deal becomes realistic.
For Galatasaray, this pursuit fits a wider pattern. The club has been methodically upgrading its squad, chasing players with proven pedigree on the biggest stages. Landing the captain of Manchester United would be a step into a different tier of ambition.
For now, Fernandes remains under contract and without a new agreement at Old Trafford. The longer that stalemate drags on, the louder the question becomes: will Galatasaray’s bold offer turn from leverage in negotiations into a genuine escape route for United’s playmaker?
