Left-back Milos Kerkez spoke highly of Barcola's qualities after observing him in early practices. He emphasized the winger's speed, dribbling skill, and promising future development.

"He's a great player. Everyone knows him obviously," said Kerkez. "After just two or three sessions, you can already see his quality and potential to improve a lot. He can become a really good player."

"Really fast, good dribbler, so I think he's going to help us a lot," Kerkez added.

While Barcola brings fresh attacking options, Kerkez revealed the team has also concentrated on fixing defensive errors that led to conceding four goals in their opening games. Defenders took part in video reviews aimed at eliminating mistakes responsible for falling behind in matches.

"For us, especially as defenders, we want clean sheets and the target is you don’t want them to score," Kerkez explained. "We worked to correct those things this week, so I think it should get better."

"We had meetings, we had video analysis for the defenders always. Obviously, we don’t want to come back from behind – we want to start winning from the beginning," he continued.

Preparing Thoroughly for Ipswich Town

Liverpool faces a tough challenge against newly promoted Ipswich Town, who have recorded one win and one loss under coach Gary O’Neil. Kerkez confirmed that the coaching team has analyzed each Ipswich player and tactical setup carefully.

"I think obviously we're analyzing everything, so we will know what to expect from every player, from the tactics," Kerkez said. "Every game we do, we come really prepared."

With Barcola eager for his club debut and defensive improvements underway, Liverpool aims for a solid performance with three points and a clean sheet on Friday night.
