Tottenham Hotspur’s loan signing Mykhailo Mudryk suffered an ankle injury during training this week, sidelining him until after the international break, which runs through October. This news comes as a blow considering Mudryk had just returned to competitive play following a long hiatus.

The winger was brought in on loan from Chelsea late in the summer transfer window, surprising many given his challenging recent history. Once a £100 million signing for Chelsea three years ago, Mudryk struggled during his debut Premier League season and then faced a lengthy doping ban, which was later overturned.
