Santos to Partner with Adidas as Kit Supplier Starting 2028 Season

Santos Futebol Clube has finalized a long-term agreement with Adidas to become their official kit supplier beginning with the 2028 season. This move ends the club's partnership with Umbro, who have provided Santos kits since 2018 and remain contracted through 2027. The decision aims to boost the club's commercial income and widen its global retail presence.

Adidas Confirms Return to Vila Belmiro

The German sportswear giant officially announced the deal on Thursday evening, stating: "Santos Futebol Clube and adidas have reached an agreement for the supply of sporting goods starting in the 2028 season." This marks the third period during which the three stripes will outfit the famous Brazilian team based in Vila Belmiro.

Strengthening Adidas’ Portfolio in Brazil

Adding Santos to their lineup increases Adidas’ presence in the Brazilian top flight, joining clubs like Flamengo, Cruzeiro, and Internacional already sponsored by the brand. The partnership will cover matchday kits, training apparel, and lifestyle collections. Santos remains a strong commercial asset globally, supported by its legendary history with Pelé and current stars such as Neymar and Philippe Coutinho.

Current Sporting Challenges Ahead for Santos

On the field, Santos sits eighth in the Serie A standings, having collected 38 points from 27 matches so far. Coach Cuca’s squad is preparing for a tough schedule, starting with an away game at São Paulo on October 2, followed by hosting Flamengo on October 8. Their next league challenge will be at Atlético Mineiro on October 11.
