Mikel Arteta has given the latest news on the injury situation at Arsenal as they prepare to face Brighton in their upcoming Premier League match.

The Gunners are still unbeaten this season, having secured a 2-0 victory over Sunderland last weekend. They also advanced to the fourth round of the EFL Cup after beating Ipswich Town 4-2, despite making significant changes to their squad for that game.

Before the international break, Arsenal will return to league action against Brighton, who come into the game on the back of a remarkable 3-2 comeback win against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

William Saliba, the French defender, remains sidelined with a back injury sustained during the World Cup. He has yet to resume training and is expected to miss this match as well as upcoming internationals for France under Zinedine Zidane.

Arteta also updated the status of defenders Cristhian Mosquera and Ben White, both of whom have missed recent fixtures due to injuries.

"[White] All good. We have another training session. Yeah, we have another session, and they [Mosquera] are willing to be part of it, so we will see," Arteta said.

Meanwhile, Piero Hincapie and Jurrien Timber, who missed the midweek cup game against Ipswich, are expected to be available for selection, though they might start on the bench.

Ben White's Return Brings Confidence

Ben White has been a key figure in Arsenal's defense this season, playing mainly at right-back while Jurrien Timber recovers from an injury picked up last season. White’s presence has been crucial, especially since Timber isn't fully fit yet.

His understanding with Bukayo Saka has helped the forward perform well, while White’s defensive skills remain solid both with and without possession. Having him back means Ezri Konsa and Gabriel can continue their partnership in central defense, which adds stability to the team.
