Brazil Dominates Group Stage with Two 3-0 Victories

Brazil have arrived.

Raphinha’s side, even without their injured winger for the final group game, marched into the round of 32 as group winners and did it with a statement of authority after an uneasy opening night.

They began with questions hanging over them. A 1-1 draw against Morocco stalled the early hype and left the group finely poised, Brazil looking more tentative than terrifying. The performance lacked edge, the finishing lacked conviction, and the door was left ajar for doubt.

That door was slammed shut. Twice.

First came Haiti. Brazil found their rhythm, their tempo, their ruthlessness. A 3-0 win, clean and controlled, restored belief and reminded the tournament what this squad can do when it moves through the gears. The attack flowed, the defence held firm, and the balance of the group shifted sharply.

Scotland felt the full force of that momentum. Another 3-0 victory, another commanding display, and this time without Raphinha, who sat out after the injury he picked up against Haiti. The absence could have unsettled them. Instead, Brazil played with clarity and confidence, rotating resources without losing identity. Six unanswered goals across two games told its own story.

By the final whistle, there was no debate left about the group’s hierarchy. Brazil on top, and comfortably so.

They join an increasingly elite company in the knockout rounds. With Brazil and Morocco now confirmed, nine nations have already booked their tickets to the round of 32: South Africa, Canada, Germany, the United States, Mexico, Switzerland and Argentina complete the list so far. The bracket is starting to take shape, the margins tightening, the room for error shrinking.

Next for Brazil: a clash with the runners-up from Group F. That could mean the Netherlands. It could mean Japan. It could mean Sweden. Three very different tests, one shared reality – from here on, every step is steep.

Brazil have answered the early questions. The real ones are about to begin.
