Yasin Ayari, Maxim De Cuyper, Malick Junior Yalcouye, Diego Gomez, and Pascal Gross are expected to operate across midfield, with Charalampos Kostoulas leading the line.

It’s not Brighton at full throttle, but it’s still Brighton: structured, confident, and dangerous.

History offers Coventry a sliver of hope

Recent history between these clubs doesn’t scream mismatch.

Their last meeting came in the FA Cup in February 2018, when Brighton won 3-1 at home. Before that, they clashed three times in the Championship across the 2011/12 season and in 2006, with Coventry winning two of those three games.

Across the last five recorded head-to-head matches, Coventry actually edge it: three wins to Brighton’s two. Goals have rarely been in short supply when these sides collide.
