Edo Queens Coach Kennedy Boboye Aims for Strong Performance Against Ampem Darkoa Ladies

Edo Queens head coach Kennedy Boboye has vowed not to ease off the throttle in their final group game against Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the WAFU B Women’s Champions League.

His side are already safely into the semi-finals after winning their first two matches, but there will be no rotation for rotation’s sake. Boboye wants a statement performance.

“We don’t have any player to rest; it’s only one of our defenders who was ruled out of the tournament due to a head injury,” he said ahead of the matchday three showdown.

That single enforced absence aside, the message from the Edo Queens bench is clear: everyone is on duty.

Boboye stressed that every player in the squad remains fully engaged and ready to step in.

“All the players in the squad will come out and play when needed, and they will surely give their all to the team,” he insisted.

There is good reason for the intensity. The stakes stretch far beyond regional pride. The champions of this WAFU B Women’s Champions League will secure a coveted ticket to the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League, and Edo Queens intend to arrive in the knockout rounds already in full stride.
