Endrick Set for Real Madrid Return in Champions League Match Against Inter

Real Madrid could finally see Endrick back in competitive action on one of the biggest stages of all – the Champions League.

The Brazilian forward is in line for his official return for the club in the 2026/27 edition of the competition, with Real Madrid set to host Inter Milan at 4 p.m. on Tuesday (8). After a spell on the sidelines through injury, the 20-year-old may be handed a brief but symbolic run-out.

José Mourinho cooled expectations, but only slightly.

“He may be ready to play 5 minutes, 10 at most. He trained with the team for the first time yesterday and hasn't played since Budapest. He isn't fit for more (minutes),” the Real Madrid coach said, laying out the physical reality while still leaving the door open for a cameo.

The tone shifted when Mourinho was asked where Endrick might fit in among the stars.

“He will play in attack. I guarantee he won't play at left-back or center-back. (He can play) on the right or the left, (as a) 9 or 10,” he added, with a touch of irony that barely masked his excitement at having another weapon available.

That attacking unit is already stacked. In recent games, Mourinho has unleashed a forward line built around Jude Bellingham, Arda Güler, Vini Jr, and Kylian Mbappé. Endrick, eased back after injury, now waits for his turn to step into that constellation — even if only for those 5 or 10 minutes that could mark the restart of his Real Madrid story.
