Jordan Graham Hospitalized After Serious Road Traffic Accident

Former Birmingham City winger Jordan Graham is in hospital receiving specialist treatment after what has been described as a “serious road traffic accident”.

The 31-year-old, an Aston Villa academy graduate who went on to play across the EFL, was injured earlier this month. His family, speaking through the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA), confirmed he is under the care of medical specialists.

“His family are incredibly grateful for the care he is receiving,” the PFA statement said, adding that they have asked for privacy and requested that people do not contact them directly while they “focus entirely on Jordan and his recovery”. Any further updates, they stressed, will only be given “when appropriate”.

Graham’s journey through the professional game has been a long one. After coming through at Aston Villa, he made 17 appearances for Wolves and spent time on loan at Ipswich Town, Bradford City, Oxford United and Fulham, searching for a foothold and regular minutes.

His most sustained spell came at Birmingham City, where he featured 49 times in the Championship between 2021 and 2023 after joining from Gillingham. Across his career he has made 188 senior appearances, the last of them for Leyton Orient before leaving the club in 2025.

As news of the accident spread, former clubs moved quickly to send support.

A statement from Gillingham read: “Everyone at the club is thinking of Jordan and his family at this time. We wish him a full and swift recovery.”

Leyton Orient added a simple message with a clear sentiment: “We’re all with you JG.”

For now, the football stops and the numbers fade. The focus is on a 31-year-old fighting back, and a sport waiting, hoping, to see him through.
