Jurrien Timber's Arsenal Return: Arteta's Cautious Approach

Jurrien Timber edges towards an Arsenal return, but Mikel Arteta is refusing to gamble.

Arteta: “He is in a good place”

Arteta has been encouraged by what he has seen in training but is holding back from any guarantees. Speaking about Timber’s status ahead of the Chelsea game, he made it clear the defender is close, but not yet over the line.

“Yeah, he is in really good condition at the moment. He is in a good place,” Arteta said via Hayters.

“We will decide tomorrow after training.”

The message is simple: Timber must wait one more day, one more assessment, before he knows if he will be involved.

Arsenal will keep monitoring every reaction, every session. They want their first-choice right-back back on the pitch, but on their terms, not the injury’s. The real test now is whether patience can finally deliver the version of Jurrien Timber they signed in the first place.
