PSG's Line-Up Changes Ahead of Lille Clash

Paris Saint-Germain head north on Friday night still searching for their first Ligue 1 win of the season, and Luis Enrique is ready to shake things up.

Held 2-2 at home by Rennes on the opening weekend, PSG travel to Lille for the curtain-raiser of the second matchweek with a reshuffled XI and a clear message: standards must rise quickly.

Enrique rings the changes

According to L'Équipe, the Spaniard is preparing four changes from the side that let Rennes escape the Parc des Princes with a point.

The first problem is familiar. Nuno Mendes is still sidelined through injury and won’t feature. That forces another rethink on the left, where Lucas Digne is expected to come in for Lucas Hernández, offering fresh legs and a different profile down that flank.

On the opposite side, Enrique looks set to spring a surprise. Warren Zaïre-Emery, usually the heartbeat of the midfield, is tipped to start as an unorthodox right-back in place of Achraf Hakimi. It’s a bold tweak, but one that underlines the coach’s determination to control games from deeper areas, even if it means moving one of his brightest talents out of his natural zone.

Midfield reshaped, Dembélé rested

The changes don’t stop in defence. In midfield, Lucas Beraldo is expected to replace Vitinha, adding another left-footed option in the engine room and slightly altering the balance in front of the back line.

Higher up the pitch, one of the headline names will be missing from the start. Ousmane Dembélé is set to be rested, opening the door for Ferran Torres to make his full debut. The Spaniard earned this shot: he came off the bench last weekend and dragged PSG back into the game with two goals to salvage a draw against Rennes.

Now he is in line to lead from the first whistle, tasked with bringing that same sharpness and instinct to a much trickier away fixture.
