Sorba Thomas Escapes Injury After Car Overturns Near Hull City Training Ground
Hull City winger Sorba Thomas walked away uninjured after his car overturned in a crash close to the club’s training ground on Friday morning.
The 27-year-old’s grey Land Rover Defender was left on its roof on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, a short distance from the Tigers’ facility. Images from the scene showed the vehicle with smashed windows and significant damage.
Emergency services were called to the incident, with Humberside Police confirming they remained at the scene as investigations continued. The force urged people to avoid the area while their work was carried out.
Hull City moved quickly to calm fears after pictures of the wrecked car began circulating online.
“The club is aware of images of Sorba's car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed,” Hull added.
A frightening scene for any player. For Thomas and Hull, the focus now is on football rather than what might have been.
