Liverpool’s pursuit of Bradley Barcola has moved into a sharper, more dangerous phase – and Paris is where the whole thing could be decided.

The Premier League club have made the 21-year-old their priority wide target after missing out on Yan Diomande. That much is clear. What isn’t clear, at least yet, is how they bridge the vast gap between admiration and affordability.

Because PSG’s stance is brutal.

According to The Athletic, the French champions are asking for around €180m. That figure would make Barcola the third most expensive signing in football history.
